Hi! I'm Koshara and this is my story...
My grandmother was an amazing seamstress and teacher. She taught me to sew by hand when I was very little, just after I learned to walk. When I was 13, she began training me on the sewing machine.
I was first inspired to make pioneer clothes after my children and I went to a Mountain Man Rendezvous in the Black Hills of South Dakota. When people saw my daughters and me in my custom-designed dresses, they always asked where I got them. And that's when the orders started coming in.
As a mom raising my youngest four children, working more from home has greatly benefited my children and gives me the opportunity to put my skills to good use, doing something I really love to do!
Each item I sew is made to my customer's specifications and is a uniquely homemade creation made with love and great attention to detail. I only use 100% cotton material, as the pioneers did, partially because it is more fire retardant than other materials, and one can quickly put it out if it catches fire.
The designs you see on my website are to show what I can do. Every design is fully customizable.
